Unterschied zwischen Chat und Kanal

Der private Chat von Teams ist wie jeder andere Instant Messenger (z.B. WhatsApp). Private Chats finden nur zwischen Ihnen und einer anderen Person (oder einer Gruppe von Personen) statt, wohingegen Kanalunterhaltungen öffentlich sind.

In Kanälen findet die eigentliche Arbeit statt. Jeder Kanal ist einem bestimmten Thema, einer bestimmten Abteilung oder einem bestimmten Projekt gewidmet. Innerhalb der Kanäle werden Dateien geteilt, Apps hinzugefügt, sowie Chats, Sprach- und Videoanrufe geführt, die dem gesamten Team offenstehen. Alle Unterhaltungen, Besprechungen, Dateien und Apps im Kanal beziehen sich dann auf den jeweiligen Kanal und der gesamte Inhalt dieses Kanals ist für alle Mitglieder des Kanals verfügbar.

Teams private chat is like any other instant messenger (e.g. WhatsApp). Private chats happen only between you and another person (or a group of people), whereas channel conversations are public.

Channels are where the real work takes place. Each channel is dedicated to a specific topic, department, or project. Within channels, files are shared, apps are added, and chats, voice calls, and video calls are made that are open to the entire team. All conversations, meetings, files, and apps in the channel then relate to that channel, and all content in that channel is available to all members of the channel.
