Schritte nach dem Verlust des Diensthandys

Je schneller Sie untenstehende Maßnahmen ergreifen, umso höher ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass Ihre (Zugangs-)Daten nicht in fremde Hände gelangen und "Remote Wipe" erfolgreich ist.

1. Löschen Sie Ihre Daten per Fernzugriff ("Remote Wipe") - z.B. über Outlook Web App.
   Voraussetzungen:

   • Ihr WU E-Mail-Account ist auf dem Gerät eingerichtet (siehe auch Informationen zum Microsoft Exchange Account).

   • Das verlorene Mobilgerät ist mit dem Internet verbunden (WLAN oder mobile Datenverbindung).
     
     
     

3. Nach dem Remote Wipe: Ändern Sie bitte Ihr Accountpasswort im Controlpanel.

4. Lassen Sie die Simkarte sperren.
   Stellen Sie dazu bitte eine Anfrage an den IT-Support oder schreiben Sie eine E-Mail an telefon@wu.ac.at.

5. Erstellen Sie eine polizeiliche Verlust- bzw. Diebstahlsanzeige (vorgesehen lt. WUPOL Mobile Endgeräte) und übermitteln Sie diese an telefon@wu.ac.at.

It is important to carry out the following steps as promptly as possible in order to protect your (login) data and perform a successful "remote wipe" on your phone.

1. Remotely delete data on your employee cell phone ("remote wipe") - e.g. by using Outlook Web App.
   Requirements:

   • Your WU email account is set up on the device (also see Information on Email Microsoft Exchange).

   • The lost mobile device is connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data connection).

3. Right after the remote wipe: change your WU account password in the Controlpanel application.

4. Have your SIM card blocked.
   Please submit a request to IT support or send an email to telefon@wu.ac.at.

5. According to WUPOL Mobile End User Devices, you have to file a police report of loss or theft and send a copy to telefon@wu.ac.at.
